This podcasts concerns institutional and individual psychopathology. It concerns the different ways in which people and institutions decompensate and, consequently, the different ways in which they retain their health and vitality. The episodes in this podcast are broadly psychoanalytic in nature, but they draw on, and in their elucidate, points of a philosophical nature, in particular, points relating to agency, moral and psychological integrity, the structure of the psyche, the nature of action, and the scope and limits of human knowledge. Most of the episodes concern the bureaucratization of education. And in elucidating this grim phenomenon, the psychological underpinnings of human conduct and of human institutions are elucidate, as are the various ways in which those underpinnings may become pathological and defunct. Among the topics frequently addressed are: OCD, psychopathy, bureaucracy, mental health, serial murder, crime in general, entrepreneurship, and autonomy.
