Boat Radio
Society & Culture, Sports & Recreation
Boat Radio's podcasts take listeners on an adventure. We explore the Arctic, sail the Caribbean, cross the Atlantic, relax on Polynesian islands, chug slowly along America's Intra-Coastal Waterway and enjoy Missouri's magnificent Lake of the Ozarks - a man-made lake with more coastline than California and around 100,000 privately-owned boats.
There are tips and tricks to make your boat life better, there's guidance for those people contemplating buying a boat and there are extraordinary experiences as our presenters and guests slaughter goats in the depths of the African bush, tackle polar bears in the north of Greenland, get swept overboard off the Hebrides and are lost at sea in Tierra del Fuego.

Our audience is mostly male (75%), mostly American (65%) and mostly in the 45 to 65 age group (60%). Our biggest urban centers are San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Seattle, Washington, London, Tokyo, Sydney, Auckland and Fort Lauderdale. Our biggest countries are: U
SA, Canada, UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Spain.

Although our 'average' podcast listenership is only around 4,000, that's a little misleading because we generate a huge amount of content. We've been uploading shows since July 2016. We've made 314. Around one podcast per fortnight hits the 10,000 downloads mark. One per month hits 20,000 downloads. Our most-downloaded podcast - an edition of The Boat Galley entitled 'Beware the experts!' - has been downloaded 64,000 times. A new edition of The Boat Galley is uploaded every Monday. On average, each edition is downloaded 16,500 times.

All of this means an advert within Boat Radio's podcasts is an absolute bargain. If your firm places an ad in every Boat Radio podcast over the course of a month, your message will be heard a minimum of 100,000 times by boaters worldwide. But mostly in America.

Boat Radio's shows are available on all major podcast platforms. We'd be delighted to promote our sponsors on our social media accounts too. In fact, although Boat Radio has only 4815 followers on social media, the presenters have their own, often much bigger, social media presences. For example, Carolyn Shearlock of The Boat Galley - our Monday podcast - gets more than 250,000 unique visitors to her website every month. Plus, she has a huge email list and a loyal, though relatively modest, 15,000+ Facebook following.
