Last Seen Alive is a true crime podcast that explores compelling unsolved cases. Researched, written and hosted by Crime Analyst Leah Owens, cohosted by Scott Owens. Last Seen Alive is the only true crime podcast hosted by a professional crime analyst, and exists to bring public attention to unsolved cases that need it. Recognizing that the right piece of information can sometimes be the difference between a cold case and resolution, all episodes of Last Seen Alive are intended to engage listeners by encouraging them to share any tips they may have with the appropriate investigating agencies. Featured cases include unsolved homicides, disappearances and suspicious deaths.

Leah’s lifelong interest in true crime was sparked by an early introduction to the classic shows, “Unsolved Mysteries” and “America’s Most Wanted”. Today, she enjoys working as a crime analyst for a mid-sized, urban police department. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University, and a Certificate in Crime and Intelligence Analysis from California State University, Sacramento. Through her work, she’s always learning more about the nature of crime, and what it takes to solve it. She researches, writes and hosts Last Seen Alive.
With a background in fire / rescue and police communications technology, Scott has always had an interest in public safety and is the tech-savvy half of the Last Seen Alive hosting duo. He currently works in the security field and co-hosts Last Seen Alive, in addition to providing its audio-engineering and editing.
Scott and Leah are a husband and wife team who established Last Seen Alive as a way to bring public attention to unsolved cases that need it.
