The official podcast of one of the largest SBNation sites, Burnt Orange Nation, The Longhorn Republic brings you the latest in news, sports and opinions about Texas Longhorn athletics. We differentiate from other sports podcasts by striking the balance between commentary and banter, bringing personality to the sports commentary space. Our audience is a diverse group of ages, split nearly evenly in the 18-24, 25-34 and 35-44 demographics (all making up between 17% and 20% of our audience), in addition to a large 65 or older grouping. The overwhelming majority of them are college educated, with 53% of our audience in the Bachelor's Degree and above segment, with 61% making $60,000 or more annually.
In our short time, we have grown our audience from 2700 monthly downloads in September 2017 to 7500 in April of 2018. As we are a college sports podcast, and college football is hands-down the most-popular sport in the University of Texas fan space, the fact that we have continued to grow through the offseason proves the show's additional ability to grow and are on-pace for 13,000 downloads in August of 2018.
We bring a large built-in audience that continues to find our content in increasing numbers week-after-week, while keeping a constant flow of content, and a growing social media presence.
