About the Host
Host Name: Javier Leiva
I am the producer of Pretend Radio, a documentary-style podcast produced in Raleigh, North Carolina. Pretend Radio is a story-driven show about real people pretending to be someone they’re not. I interview con artists, snake-oil salesmen, and undercover agents—anyone living a lie. When I’m not moonlighting as a podcaster, I work as an Associate Creative Director at Red Hat in Raleigh. I’ve produced content for some of the biggest brands in the world: FedEx, AutoZone, IBM, and Hilton. My career has taken me from producing 15 years of television (documentaries, news, commercials) to creative director at various marketing agencies. Regardless of the medium, my passion is storytelling.
