HISTORY OF WEIRD DARKNESS… It was in late September 2015 that the pilot episode “Mothman: The Enigma of Point Pleasant” was posted… not as a podcast, but as a video on YouTube. The next month it was decided to move forward with a regular series at two videos per week, focusing on subject matter such as ghosts, unsolved mysteries, true crime, conspiracies, and anything else that is strange, dark, or bizarre. While Weird Darkness did find fans on YouTube, the growth was slow. A year later in October 2016 it was decided to also offer the episodes in podcast form by simply re-posting the audio from the YouTube videos. It was then that the show truly began to find its base and began growing… fast. Another year later, and in October 2017 the difficult decision was made to stop making videos entirely and focus solely on the podcast (audio-only) version. Doing this not only increased the quality of each episode, but allowed Darren Marlar to post more often – eventually creating new episodes every weekday, and archive episodes on the weekends. The show exploded in popularity. In doing so, Weird Darkness generated over one-million downloads in the first six months immediately following the October 2017 change – and continues to grow even more quickly today with no hint of slowing down. As of September 17, 2019 the podcast was receiving over 678,000 downloads per month! Weird Darkness was named one of the “Best Storytellers in Podcasting” for 2019 by Podcast Business Journal. And was a finalist for the “Storyteller-Drama” award for the “People’s Choice Podcast Awards” in 2019. Weird Darkness has also been recognized widely in the press by Business Insider, Podcast Magazine, Beyond the Bleak, and others. NOTE: I do not currently work with Chartable

I have an interesting story that has brought me to this point in my life and it’s what drives me every day to make a difference. I’ve been a successful serial entrepreneur and during my time on this wonderful planet, I’ve been involved in ventures that netted me millions of dollars. From wholesaling large diamonds, to building one of the first fax-to-email platforms that allowed people to send messages for free, and to patenting and selling unique products. I’ve done these things always with the mindset and spirit of a collaborative capitalist; working together with others to achieve mutual goals. I was living the life many only dreamed of and then one day everything changed. On September 17, 2004, I woke up happy and healthy. By the end of the day I was lying in a hospital bed, a quadriplegic paralyzed from my neck down and could only move my head. I had contracted Guillaine-Barre syndrome, a rare neurological condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves. It took over a year to regain my ability to move my arms and legs, and much longer to gain back my motor skills and be able to walk. It was during this time of recovery that caused me to GO MAD: Go Make A Difference! I knew that I was lucky and every day I’m thankful for all I have! Our Mission is now to GIVE One Billion Dollars to Causes without costing anyone a penny. We are revolutionizing the Giving Space with our unique approach. Earth Ancients
Earth Ancients chronicles the growing (and often suppressed) evidence of known and unknown civilizations, their ruined cities, and artifacts developed from advanced science and technology. Erased from the pages of time, these cultures discovered and charted the heavens, developed medicine and unleashed advancements that parallel and, in many cases, surpass our own. Join us and discover our lost history.Armed with the thousands of anomalous archeological discoveries which have not been covered by conventional science and the media, we can no longer deny our ancient cultural inheritance. Our written history is wrong and we’ve been led to believe that humanity is just a few hundred thousand years old. In fact, the Hindu Yugas advance the notion that Homo Sapiens are millions of years old, and have lived onplanet Earth through a series of rebirths. It’s now a fact that we are the survivors of a series of cataclysmic events that took place approximately 12,000 to 14,000 years ago. Our ancestors may have been aware of these impending disasters and fled underground shelter, or survived in caves; others may have left the planet, but a huge number perished. Though Earth Ancients does explore some of the popular theories that ancient aliens have visited ourplanet, our philosophy and research paradigm is decidedly Earth-centric, elevating the historical discourseabout human brilliance and ingenuity found in the archaeological evidence.
