In 2018 his book, "Dirty Doc Ames & the Scandal That Shook Minneapolis", about a corrupt doctor-turned-politician was published by the MNHS Press. Since 2015 he has hosted the popular Most Notorious! A True Crime History podcast, conducting over 300 interviews about historical crimes, tragedies and disasters.
